Aiken

I made another sweater. guys! I knit it with my very own tiny hands and I love it to bits.

The pattern is The Aiken Sweater by Andi Satterlund. So far all of my successful sweater/cardigan knitting projects have been Andi's patterns and I admit. I am addicted to her patterns. There's something about the top-down knitting technique that really suits me and my knitting habits. Plus once you finish knitting all you need to do is to hide the threads and you don't need to sew the pieces together. In my eyes that is great, but I know for some this method doesn't for everyone. But if you are like me and absolutely HATE hand sewing your knits together, I recommend you try one of her patterns.

For my version I knit size M and used a bright yellow 100% wool yarn from my yarn stash. For a long time I couldn't decide whether to make this sweater from the yellow yarn or from a mint yarn, but in the end went for the yellow as I thought mint might look too much like the sweater from the pattern sample pictures.

I really love the end result, especially the lacing in the back and front. It adds that little special detail without being too over the top. And the sweater itself makes a great addition to any outfit.
